Acceptable use
Last updated 19 October 2026
SignOps sends on behalf of many apps at once, so one account's sending affects everyone's. These rules keep codes and pushes arriving for all of them.
Send only what your users expect
- Pushes to devices your app registered, for users who allowed notifications.
- Codes and transactional email to addresses that asked for them, like a sign-in or a receipt.
Not allowed
- Marketing email, newsletters, and email to bought, rented or scraped lists.
- Messages for lending apps that are not registered with the RBI, or that are used to shame or threaten borrowers.
- Gambling and betting that is illegal where your users are.
- Phishing, malware, impersonating another business, or collecting passwords or payment details under false pretences.
- Adult content, hate, harassment, or anything illegal in India.
- Using Approve or email OTP to verify people for an app that is not yours.
What happens if a rule is broken
Email sending pauses on its own when bounces pass 5% or complaints pass 0.1%. For anything else on this page, we slow or pause the account and email the owner with the reason. Serious or repeated cases are closed.
